Various types of plastics can be used in pyrolysis to produce fuels and other valuable products. The most common types of plastics used in pyrolysis include:
1.Polyethylene(PE)
*High-Density Polyethylene(HDPE): Commonly found in containers, bottles, and plastic bags.
*Low-Density Polyethylene(LDPE): Used in plastic films, bags, and packaging materials.
2.Polypropylene(PP)
*Used in packaging, automotive parts, textiles, and various consumer products.
3.Polystyrene(PS)
*Found in disposable cups, plastic food containers, and packaging materials.
4.Polymethyl Methacrylate(PMMA)
*Also known as acrylic or plexiglass, it is used in signs, displays, and various transparent products.
5.Polycarbonate(PC)
*Used in electronics, optical discs, and other durable goods.
Note that PVC and PET are not suitable for pyrolysis projects.
