The amount of plastic waste required depends on the type of plastic, the oil conversion rate, and the efficiency of the pyrolysis plant, etc. Based on historical experimental data of Huayin, the oil yield of the waste plastic pyrolysis project is about 50%-75%, and the oil density is 0.89g/cm³.
The weight of one liter (1000 milliliters) of oil is 1000 cm³×0.89 g/cm³=890 g. For 50% oil yield the required amount of plastic is 890 g/50%=1780g, and for 75% oil yield the required amount of plastic is 890 g/75%≈1187g.
So, to get one liter of oil, the amount of plastic waste required is approximately between 1187 grams and 1780 grams.
